K9 Kenny has dedicated spaces for dog training.
K9 Kenny’s Main Training Area
This is where most of the training occurs. The area is equipped with rubber flooring for comfort and safety for you and your pet. There is plenty of space, and there are plenty of helpful learning tools such as:
- Elevated dog beds for learning the Place command.
- Squeaky toys and balls, which are often used to help engage a shy dog, reward a dog who prefers toys to dog treats or to teach your dog to not guard possessions.
- Tasty treats, along with verbal praise, to reward the dog for learning a new command. Treats are also used to teach dogs to be gentle when taking a treat or to leave a treat when told to do so.
K9 Kenny’s training area for Recall Training.
This is for Step 1 of teaching that command. The enclosed tent structure provides:
- A distraction-free environment to help your dog learn a new command.
- An area that is also equipped with ceiling fans and lights so that training is
still possible even when it’s hot or dark outside.
K9 Kenny’s Outdoor Training Area
The backyard area provides:
- A place to test your dog on Recall in an environment that is more challenging.
- An area that is surrounded by eight-foot fencing so that it is escape-proof.
- A place where your dog can also work or play with one of my dogs.
